Dr Nonny Ugboma is a Nigerian-British corporate leader, board member, and
development consultant with over 25 years of experience in corporate social investments, particularly in healthcare, education, and public sector value creation. With a foundation in finance, she has expertise in stakeholder engagement and management, strategic planning, systems building, human-centred project design, project management, and impact assessment.

She is committed to equipping African public sector with the mindset,
skills, and tools to address the continent’s development challenges. Her work is
dedicated to partnering with international institutions, governments, and corporate leaders to co-create innovative strategies, policies, and solutions that drive sustainable development and deliver shared value to society.

Dr Ugboma began her career in finance, providing business intelligence for organisations such as Invesco Asset Management, Arthur Andersen, and various technology companies in Silicon Valley and Nigeria. Her passion for community impact led her to transition into corporate social responsibility and impact investment. As a pioneer staff member of MTN Nigeria Foundation (MTNF) in 2004, and later as Chief Executive from 2008 to 2021, Nonny spearheaded the development and implementation of projects worth over USD 66 million across 850 sites in Nigeria, focusing on youth development, health, and arts and culture.

She is currently the Executive Director of Nondunna Limited, a policy and
project management firm operating at the intersection of innovation, public policy, andpublic value creation, where she implements a range of developmental projects for government agencies in Nigeria. She is also a pre-approved expert on the UNDP Global Policy Network (GPN) ExpRes Roster, positioned to provide strategic advisory support in SDG financing, innovation, and policy systems strengthening.

Dr Ugboma is a fellow of the Association of Sustainability Professionals and a member of Women Corporate Directors, Women in Management, Business and Public Service, the African Women CEOs Network, and the Institute of Directors Nigeria. She holds various board and advisory roles, bringing values of integrity, innovation, and impact-driven leadership to every organisation she serves.

She is an Independent Non-Executive Director (NED) at Republicom Group, an integrated communications group (2021 to present), where she provides strategic direction to management. Previously, she served as a NED at RAK Unity Plc (2013 to 2021), a downstream oil company, where she offered 2 strategic oversight that transformed the company, leading it to its first profit in years.

At RAK Unity, she chaired the Board Audit and Risk Committee and was a member of the Remuneration and Governance Committee. She also served as a NED at Asharami Energy, an upstream oil and gas company (2014 to 2019), where she provided strategic direction for managing various assets and contributed to the Remuneration and Governance Committee. Additionally, Nonny was a Governing Council member of the Lagos State Employability Support Project (2020 to 2022), where she provided guidance for the UNDP-funded employability initiative.

Dr Ugboma’s academic credentials include a BSc (hons) in Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University of Warwick – 2.1 , an MSc in International Management from King’s College London, and an MPA in Innovation, Public Policy, and Public Value from University College London – distinction. She also has a PhD in Innovation and Public Policy at UCL – under the supervision of Professor Mariana Mazzucato – with focus on the role of dynamic capabilities in the public sector in creating public value for citizens in Nigeria.
